Each time you login to AllenPort, our application compares the AllenPortfolio on the system you are on with the version of the AllenPortfolio on our server.

Depending on whether you want this computer completely synchronized with your AllenPortfolio or to only have a subset of your portfolio, we do the following:

Completely synchronized:

Any files on the server that are newer than the version on the local computer including files that are not on the local computer at all...

Selected files only:

We check only the files you have designated. Though we don't update any of the other files, you can add them to the selective download list at any time. If any of the files you have selected are out of date...

If the data on this computer has been completely lost, as for example from a disk crash...

If this is the first time you have logged into AllenPort on this particular computer whether the computer is new or is just new to you, AllenPort asks you whether you want to have all the files from your portfolio on this computer or whether you want to use Selective Downloading. If you choose Selective Download, AllenPort helps you select the files you want, then...
